Stickley is striving to create options for our city dwellers in smaller homes. Please enjoy what we have put together for you.
BEDROOM
Most of us need more storage in every room of our homes. Stickley has many smaller scale pieces to create more storage options for you.
In the Bedroom consider a tall dresser like the 913, 926, and 627 in the Mission collection.
The Holcomb Tall chest in the Classic collection, the Chelsea tall chest and the Carlton Master chest in the Modern collection are designed to give you ample storage without taking too much floor space.
Stickley makes a Door Chest that has 3 drawers and 9 cubbies behind the doors to organize all your foldable clothing.
A storage trunk like the Blanket chest #097,or a storage ottoman at the end of the bed can easily hold linens and blankets with style and you can sit on it to put your socks and shoes on. Have a look at the Gustav Stickley collector chest #095.
Another way to save floor space is to consider a bed that does not sweep out from the wall like a sleigh bed. The Willow bed, the Lancaster bed and the 620 panel bed and the Harvey Ellis bed all sit closer to the wall and are therefore save space. Also consider a low footboard option so the footboard does not chop up your bedroom visually.
LIVING ROOM
In the living room a coffee table with drawers takes care of small items and magazines. Stickley entertainment units offer lots of options from a two door unit like the #1182 at 43â wide to a three door unit with bookshelves flanking each side. My favorite space saver is the #477 Harvey Ellis fall front bookcase, you get the drop down desk and cubby for your laptop and mail as well as the 2 bookcases with doors, and drawers all in one stunning unit.
A wonderful little side table is the #509 drop leaf table where you can use one or all three sections, our nest of tables #537, or the 547 tier table, which can be placed horizontally or vertically as space allows. For a flexible coffee table consider the Pasadena Bungalow flip top tabouret, where there is storage under the lid. It is also possible to place two side by side to create a larger coffee table or separate them as needed around the room.
SOFAS
Stickley makes sofas of the highest quality construction with hundreds of fabric and leather options.
Most of our Sofas come in a Love seat size with many in the mid-size, as well as  selectionals giving many wonderful options to get beautiful and comfortable seating into your smaller spaces.
Selections are Stickleyâs design your own sofas. You choose from 36â, 38 or 40â deep frames, next choose your arm style,
the back cushion style and the base style. Choosing fabric is the finishing touch.
Loveseats with exposed legs can give a more expansive feeling to a smaller room. Have a look at our Michigan Ave. and our Wheaton Sofas, for example.
Our staff are here 7 days a week to help you find the right sofa for you.
Factoids:
In excess of 25 mid-sized sofas and 45 love seats can be made to order.
Our smaller sofas come in 54âall the way to to 86â wide.
Points to consider:
- A slim arm can save as much 10 inches of your room
- A straight back will not take up extra space behind the couch
- Exposed legs give a lighter feel to the room
DINING
For your dining space, whether that is a kitchen, a small dedicated dining room or part of an open plan home, we have tables for you.
The #714 round pedestal table is available in 38â, 42â and 46â sizes. The Keyhole Trestle table comes in a 62â long x 36â wide size. Our classic Breakfast table #4142 is 45â wide x 54â long with brass casters on the base for easy moving. Stickley makes a couple of tables that start off closed working like a server or console table, and opening up to reveal dining for six. Have a look at the Weedsport and the Flip top #1735. Also showing its flexibility is the #796 that starts off as a 36â x 36â square that slides and opens to 72â long x 36â wide table, perfect for many small spaces. For those people who only need dining for one or two, our new Finger Lakes drop leaf table called Rushville is a compact 42 ¾â x 46 ¾â when it is fully opened.
Dining chairs without arms take up less space around the table, or consider a bench like #300 as alternative seating.
For a compact china cabinet, have a look at the Victoria Place cabinet #1817, it is a beautiful compact piece. A corner piece #134 is also a great option.
A compact server would be a great choice small dining spaces, the #640 and the 1907 in the Mission style are wonderful options. In the classic collection, the Salem sideboard in Mahogany is a beauty.
